The word "Click" is a simple word, but to Chatchai Boonyaprapatsara, it means the scene of City, Citizen, Culture, Context, Conflict, Colour and Concept meeting up in one “Click” coincidentally on the street.
After receiving a Certificate in Photography from Bangkok Technical Campus,
Chatchai continued his education in The US where he received his BFA in Graphic Designs from The Corcoran School of Arts, Washington, DC.
He returned to Bangkok and pursued his career as a creative man in a number of well-known advertising agencies for more than 14 years.
Today, carrying on with his creativities to another path of the journey, he sets himself free on the streets, challenging himself and making commitment of a lifetime to becoming an ongoing street photographer.
The exhibition “Click :The Coincidence” is a collection of 5 years experiences of the unpredictable city’s scenes (Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore). Where and when he finds a mystical communication link between the subjects, feels and sees the continuous dialog between his main subject and the culture and ambient of our modern society in the background, it is a worthwhile coincidence. He fires a quick snap street shot that makes a “Click” in his head: visually inspiring, conceptually food for thought and as many times simply entertaining.
